Who We Are

Trina Allen-Abt (Partner)

Trina is a founding partner of PLAY Management, one of the most successful full service talent agencies in Canada. She represents client’s endeavors in film, television and production in both Canada and the United States, and has recently led the expansion of PLAY with the opening of the office in Atlanta, GA.

With almost two decades in the business Trina’s clients credits and accomplishments include numerous internationally acclaimed, award winning series, miniseries, and feature films.

Trina is recognized by her tenacity, integrity and passion for deal making. Understanding her client’s strengths and career aspirations,  she works hard to forge new partnerships, and provide her clients with exciting new opportunities.  She consistently develops long lasting partnerships with her clients, and helps to nurture, guide and grow their careers.

Vickie Petronio-King (Partner)

For the past 18 years, Vickie Petronio-King has established herself as one of Canada’s preeminent talent agents, while creating PLAY Management into one of the largest and most successful management companies in Canada. Managing well established clients from Canada and the US, she has built her career on leveraging the unique talents and strengths of each actor and complimenting them with her passion, knowledge and insight into what “works”.

Vickie and her team take a total management approach to understanding the needs, goals  and vision of each client, while working to guide each project and choice along that path. Proven, successful partnerships with agencies such as WME, UTA, CAA, ICM and many others, form just part of the extensive network that Vickie has developed. This allows clients to have greater exposure on projects within North America and throughout the world. Vickie’s hard work ethic and dedication to each of her clients is underscored by her commitment to putting the right client, in the right room on the right project.

The list of leading roles and projects Vickie and her clients have worked on over the years is extensive and varied but whether it’s choosing to work on projects because of the director, the actors attached, the script or simply the challenge of the role itself,  the decision is always in alignment with the goals of the client and the aspiration of continually moving their career forward.

Lena Lees-Heidt (Partner)

With over 18 years of experience in the industry, Lena has had the pleasure of working with some of the countries most recognizable talent. Lena has exceptional relationships on both sides of the border with broadcasters, networks, studios, and the top agencies and management companies. She takes great pride and enjoyment in her work, whether it be developing young talent, or working with established, award-winning performers. She is recognized for her attention to detail, strategic approach, nurturing personality, and is always proud to be a contributing factor in her client’s accomplishments.

Although her primary focus is in talent management, Lena has also taken a keen interest in the literary and producing side of things. She has operated in the capacity of producer on various short films, and factual based projects, and loves supporting her clients in their creative endeavors when it comes to developing content .

She currently has multiple fictional projects in development with her partners at PLAY, and looks forward to expanding the company’s focus and brand in the coming years.

Mary Falcon (Manager-Vancouver)

Born and raised in Vancouver, Mary has been in the film industry going on 15 years. Starting her career in casting, Mary has worked on hundreds of commercials and numerous feature films. This unique insight qualifies her with an inside track into what casting directors, producers, directors and executives are looking for.

Ready for a change of pace, Mary decided to apply her experience in casting, to managing talent. Her dedication and perseverance have led her clients to book recurring to series regular roles in film and television; working on networks such as NBC, CW, ABC, A&E and FOX with the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Woody Harrelson, Matt Dillon, Ray Liotta, Melissa Leo,Vera Farmiga, Brian Cranston and Zack Snyder to name a few.

Mary’s knowledge, vast understanding of the industry and hard work have allowed her clients to trust in her ability to take them to the next level.

Kalee Harris (Manager-Vancouver)

After receiving her Bachelor’s degree from Dalhousie University, Kalee started with PLAY Management in 2009. Over the past seven, plus years, Kalee has developed a track record for developing clients in Canada and her introduction to her actors into the Hollywood market is unparalleled.

Kalee’s clients have starred in Hollywood blockbuster’s such as Elysium (opposite Matt Damon), The Giver (opposite Meryl Streep and Jeff Bridges), The Judge (opposite Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall), and the Oscar nominated film, Room (opposite Brie Larson, Joan Allen and William H. Macy). Her clients have also starred in critically acclaimed and hit television shows such as Schitt’s Creek, Supernatural, Unreal, and Fargo to name a few.

Kalee’s passion and aggressive yet professional approach, makes her one the top young managers in the business.

Samantha Jewell (Manager-Vancouver)

Samantha got her start with PLAY in 2012 and with a selective, yet enthusiastic approach she has been managing a successful roster. Her clients have appeared as regulars on FOX’s The Exorcist, CBC/Netflix’s Anne with an E and have had many appearances on shows such as Netflix’s Altered Carbon, The CW’s Supernatural, iZombie, Arrow and The Flash, The CW/Netflix’s Riverdale, Netflix’s Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency, as well as feature films that include The Shack and Deadpool 2.

As head of the Voice Over Department, Samantha also has a keen ear for talent. Clients have been booked for campaigns such as Dodge Caravan, Indigo, BC Hydro, Raid, Always and Fortis, among many animated series such as Ninjago, Beyblade, My Little Pony, Littlest Pet Shop & more!

Samantha is also an award-winning independent producer, which gives her a well rounded perspective and unique approach to managing talent. Her accolades as a producer include screenings at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre and the Oscar-Qualifying Athens International Film Festival, Best Short Film at the LA Screamfest Horror Film Festival, 4 Leo Award nominations and a Golden Sheaf.

Meagan Allison-Hancock (Manager-Toronto)

Meagan Allison-Hancock began her career at Amanda Rosenthal Talent in 2009, shortly after graduating from the University of Victoria, with a major in Art History and a minor in Film Studies. Her clients have worked on prestigious and popular film and television projects alike, including What We Do in the Shadows, Workin’ Moms, Star Trek: Discovery, Ginny and Georgia, Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla, and the critically acclaimed television series The Handmaid’s Tale.

In addition to her work as an agent, Meagan has volunteered extensively at the Toronto Public Library, Learn Softball TO, and previously sat on the board for Mother Nature Partnership, a menstrual health charity. She was raised in Stratford, ON.  She currently heads up PLAY Management’s Toronto talent division.

Shea Cantin (Manager-Vancouver)

Shea has been working with Play since 2015.  She got her start assisting senior manager Mary Falcon, and had the opportunity to work with some of the firms most notable clients.  In this position Shea quickly excelled, and was promoted to also support Partner, Lena Lees-Heidt on her desk.

After 2 years with the firm, Shea was signing her own clients with a discerning and strategic approach.  She currently heads up our commercial department, while concurrently managing a select few actors in the film and television arena.  Shea is excited to keep growing, developing, and working with the best Vancouver has to offer.

Paige Berberick (Manager-Toronto)

Originally from Hamilton, Ontario, Paige began to pursue her passion for the dramatic arts at George Brown College studying Performing Arts Careers. She went on to obtain her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Film Studies from McMaster University, then moved to Toronto to begin her career.

Prior to working as an agent, Paige was a dance teacher where she took great pride in nurturing the development of young kids both on and off the stage.

Paige takes a very personal and compassionate approach to talent management, and has a unique aptitude for fostering her clients’ natural performance abilities.

With a diverse and talented film and television roster, Paige also leads the development of a youth department in the Toronto office.

Daryl Schwartzberg (Manager-Toronto)

Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Daryl relocated to New York City to attend The American Musical and Dramatic Academy at the age of 17, focusing on a career in musical theatre. After graduating, her passion for film and television then took her to Los Angeles for many years, where she gained valuable on-set experience as an actor, and then on the production side, working for Winkler Films, among others.

Daryl has since returned to Canada, transitioning into the commercial casting world. In 2019, she joined the Play Toronto office and has built the Toronto voice department, with clients working on jobs like Paw Patrol, PJ Masks, Pinkalicious + Peterrific, Dino Ranch and multiple commercial campaigns. Daryl is also actively expanding her Film/TV roster while also managing the Toronto commercial department.

In addition to her work in the industry, Daryl is extremely passionate about her charitable work with The Familial Dysautonomia Center in New York and is in the preliminary stages of producing/directing a documentary about Familial Dysautonomia.
